IREX sponsors the Teachers for Global Classrooms program. This is a year long professional development opportunity that culminates in an international field experience. Teachers of all levels and disciplines are eligible and should have a desire to be a global leader. As a 2017 Summer Fellow I highly recommend this life changing experience!

The Goethe-Institut "promotes the study of German abroad and encourages international cultural exchange". This is a two-week study tour through several regions of Germany. Social studies or STEM educators are applicable.
Earthwatch provides an opportunity for teachers of any discipline to work with scientists on field research projects. Teachers should have an interest in environmental issues and how they can extend this into the classroom.
The Institute of International Education offers the Japan - U.S. Teacher Exchange Program for Education for Sustainable Development. This program is geared for teachers who are interested in learning how to "raise awareness of ESD-oriented school programs, enhance ESD-related curricula in both countries, and deepen a sense of global interconnectedness between teachers in Japan and the United States".
World Savvy is an organization that works towards integrating global competence into classrooms. They provide support for educators through workshops and consulting services. Educators have the opportunity to earn a Global Competence Certificate through World Savvy.
